575 W Fremont Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94087

Fremont High School is a public high school located in the city of Sunnyvale. It was established as an open enrollment, co-educational institution that currently serves over 2000 students from all around Silicon Valley and beyond! Fremont High School is one of the most diverse schools in California, with over 28 languages spoken across their student body. The Fremont Unified School District has been recognized for its efforts to maintain a high level of diversity and embrace students' cultures.

History

In 1923, the first Fremont High School opened in the West Side Union High School District. It was originally named after its location - "the west side of Aurora" (or some other term). After opening up as a single building with just one room to serve this entire area it soon outgrew those quarters and moved on over into temporary buildings until finally being completed on their current site at 1800 Bryant Street back when that corner held nothing more than an old train station.

The school building was designed in 1925 by noted California architect W. H. Weeks after the necessary bond referendum passed on its third attempt-and finally renamed "Fremont Union High School."

In 1942, during the Second World War and just after Fremont High School was converted into a temporary recruitment training ground for military recruits. Around half of their class joined up with America's fight against Fascism abroad in Europe or Asia at this time!

In 1969 there were fires on both sides - one late night fire destroyed much but didn't dampen spirits as we continued our restoration projects together; by 1970 freshmen had moved back from Monta Vista Cupertino while new buildings took shape once again. Fremont High School was originally known as the Indian mascot, but in 1996 after much controversy they changed it to a firebird.

Campus

Located at the intersection of Fremont Avenue and Sunnyvale–Saratoga Road, you can find this high school bustling with activity. Not just students but also teachers come here every day to learn.

The mission-style buildings on the Fremont High School campus date back to when it first opened in 1925. The original structures were built in Spanish architectural style, but over time three additional classroom buildings and an administration wing were added onto this quadrangle - all with modern designs that reflect their contemporary times .

Fremont High School has a modified block schedule with each class meeting three times per week: twice for longer blocks and once for shorter 52 minute periods. There is also an opportunity to take part in Flex period twice weekly where students can choose what hours they would like their teachers located at by opting out of certain classes entirely, but this doesn't come without its risks!

Fremont High School and its sister school, Homestead High School located in nearby Cupertino are part of the FUHSD.

Academics

At Fremont High School, their dedicated teachers and staff are deeply committed to ensuring that every student realizes his or her full potential. They do this by following the beliefs set forth in a district-wide Belief Statement which shares "the commitment of hiring individuals who believe all students can achieve at high levels."

Extracurriculars

There is a wide range of extracurricular activities at Fremont High School, and students can get involved in everything from marching band to sports. However it's not just about being active - they also have clubs that help them connect with other like-minded individuals such as The Apple Club or LiNK (Liberty In North Korea).

The poetry slam team at Fremont High School has won numerous awards, and the DECA club's achievements are outstanding. They've done more than 2000 hours of community service this year alone (more than all other clubs combined) to help out their local community as well as sending many competitors who became finalists in international competitions.

Fremont High School is well known for producing top-notch athletes. The Fremont wrestling team was one of the highest ranking high school teams in California, taking 3rd place as a whole at CIF championships 2006 and sending two competitors overseas. They are still considered among some of the top players in the Central Coast.

The Fremont High School Varsity Cheerleading team has been winning every time they compete. The 2003-2004 season was no exception when the squad took first place in all of their regional competitions and then went on to win two United Spirit Association National Championships at Anaheim Conference center! They captured Small Coed Show cheer as well as Partner Stunt titles with great success too.

Fremont High School is committed to fostering an environment where all students can reach their full potential. They believe that every student can achieve high levels, and they're dedicated to providing a personalized education for each individual at the school.
