3860 Hanly Rd, Oakland, CA 94602, United States

Oakland's Dimond Park has a lot to offer. The park is home to many different recreational activities, from bike trails and basketball courts to picnic tables and playgrounds. It also offers summer camps for children ages 5-12. This park is a great place for families with young kids or people who enjoy biking around the city in the mornings.

Dimond Park is a giant living room for the entire neighborhood. On any given afternoon, you can find families tiptoeing through Sausal Creek or couples spreading out on picnic blankets to soak in all of the scenery and natural beauty that this huge park has to offer. Hikers prepare themselves before starting their adventure up into Dimond Canyon while community members gather for events like yoga classes, youth bake sales and church meetings among other social gatherings at one of Oakland's most loved parks - Dimond Park!

It's home to Dimond Rec Center and Dimond Branch Library, both within walking distance from the park grounds. The City of Oakland purchased what would become most of our beloved park back in 1917 with support from John Wesley Powell Jr., who was living on nearby Telegraph Avenue at that time--a fact he stated often while championing efforts for quality public green space like this one! On top you'll find El Centro Ave where you can cross over into another part way up through dimpled canyon trails too (depending which entrance).

From its active recreation center, open-air outdoor pool and well-maintained grounds for an afternoon of fun in the sun or even just sitting down on one of their benches with friends as you watch people go by - Dimond park has something for everyone!

In the spring of 2014, a new law allowing dogs in this park was passed. In early 2015 part of the area for restoration work on Sausal Creek and so is closed to visitors until 2020.

Dimond Grove Picnic Area is available for Day Use rentals at a fee of $25.00 per strip of tables (2 long tables with seating on each side are included). No heating/cooking allowed in this area, so bring cold foods or food that has already been cooked and needs no more heat input. Dimond Grove Picnic Area can also be rented as overflow seating for larger group events when the other two BBQ areas have been reserved through the office.
