Vacaville High School is a high school in the Vacaville Unified School District that serves the north side of town and far northern unincorporated communities like Allendale, Bucktown & Hartley.
Vacaville High School, like the city of Vacaville, has a strong sense of family and history. Many of their employees are related and several staff members are alumni. Those employees help carry on the historical traditions of Vacaville High School, even as we look to the future.
One of their school mottos reflects this feeling: “Where old school values meet new world expectations.” The Vacaville Union High School District was formed in 1895. Vacaville High School itself was completed in 1898 and was located on School Street near Andrew’s Park. Vacaville High School has continued to be rebuilt over the years, with the current buildings being built in 1952 and renovated twice.
In 2014, the Measure A bond passed which allowed for the addition of two new two-story buildings, new parking lots, an upgraded softball field, and new tennis courts. In 2018, two fifteen-classroom mathematics and English buildings were finally finished after being under construction since early 2017.
Amazing Academic Experience
The high school experience at Vacaville High School is one that any student would be lucky to have. With a wide variety of AP courses, the curriculum offers students an academic challenge and potential college credit for their efforts on top of all this support from teachers who care about every single person in the class - not just some people more than others like most schools do.
The school is full of traditions and maintains an academically rigorous program. This year has been different with distance learning, but most teachers have supported it so far - especially those that teach online courses themselves or know how hard things can be for students whose schedules are more hectic than normal because they don't live near the campus like many locals do here in Vacaville California.
AVID Programs
They have AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) programs from the beginning of your time in high school until you graduate! It's great because they take care of all students and make sure that everyone learns more about learning difficulties or disabilities through support like this, so everyone can grow as an individual without being held back by their limitations
AP Capstone Diploma Program
Vacaville High School’s fourth year of Capstone is set to enter its next phase. Students can earn an AP Seminar and Research Diploma or take both courses simultaneously in one semester for maximum credit opportunities!
Vacaville High School has been a great experience so far, but it’s about time they started taking some risks and getting even more out of what this thing called life. This upcoming semester will offer students two different kinds of classes: Advanced Placement seminars/research projects which allow them the opportunity at earning their very own A diploma from CPCC; as well as regular English language, Arts, and & Math.
Warm and Welcoming Environment

On top of this amazing benefit with the students; even many alumni come back just because they love cheering on their favorite teams too.
Vacaville High School is a great place to be! Getting involved in any of the different diverse clubs including student council, link crew or even waffle club helps make student’s experience more enjoyable.
