A Charter School in Vacaville

What is a Charter School? A public school that gives students and parents more choices in the types of educational opportunities. The Vacaville Unified School Board approved its community-based charter school, Kairos Public Schools Vacaville Academy - open to those living within or outside district boundaries.

• Provides educational opportunities for students

• Enhancing innovation

Kairos Public School Vacaville Academy is a strong supporter of parent's rights to choose the direction of their child's education. In 1993, the state approved a plan for the development of Charter Schools. These charter schools were designed as an opportunity to try out innovative instructional methods and increase parent involvement while improving student achievement- which has been #1635 in California since then.

Although it has only been open for five years, this year-round academy deserves credit where it's due. With an astonishing total of 25 Equivalent Full-Time Teachers providing adequate teaching resources per grade level and parents involved in their children’s education - we foresee great things from our small independent institution.

Considering how active both kids and parents are at this charter school even though it is located outside major metropolitan areas. They think they have what it takes. This school even offers K-12 education and an after-school program to their students.
