Patwin Park is a beautiful park in the Patwin section of Vacaville, California. Patwin Park is perfect for people who love to picnic. Patwin Park has many activities that are available throughout the year, which makes it an excellent place for people of all ages to visit. Patwin Park offers plenty of open space for picnics and playing sports like soccer or frisbee. Patwin Park also offers numerous trails for hiking and walking through green areas with ponds, streams, and wildlife like deer or coyotes!
Patwin Dog Park
Dog owners will enjoy Patwin's dog park where their leashed dogs can run free and play with other pups at a fenced-in area in Patawine while their humans visit the rest of the great features Patwin has to offer! Patwin dog park hours are as follows: the gates close at sunset, but the lights remain on until it gets dark enough for you not to leave. Patwin is open daily from dawn to dusk. The Patwin parking lot closes according to these times too so make sure your car leaves before then or you might get locked inside when that gate shuts behind you! You do not want to be stuck in Patwin at night!
Patwin Park Location
The Patwin dog park is located on Summit Avenue, near the intersection of Alamo Drive. Patwin can be found just before you get to Gateway Oaks Boulevard and turn left into the parking lot if you are coming from Vacaville or I-80 heading westbound. Turn right before that road if you are driving east towards Oak Hill Road/Montgomery Street. There's a sign for Patwin with an arrow pointing where to go once you are close by so follow it until you find the main entrance for Patwain which has another big gate across Pine Tree Way leading up to all those great features mentioned earlier! Patwin also offers free parking.
Patwin Dog Events
Dog lovers can look forward to Patwain hosting annual events for pups and their people! Be sure to check out the following dates of upcoming dog-centered events at Patwin park:
Annual Easter Egg Hunt - March 24th from 12 pm until around one o'clock in the afternoon every year since 2008 so far. The Easter Bunny comes along with those plastic eggs filled with lots of candy or small toys for your pup as well as a few special ones containing some cash prizes! Think big because not only will you have an egg hunt but also carnival games between the Patwin parking lot and the archery range area. Bring your own basket for this event, but there's no fee to enter unless you want one of those special eggs!
Annual Costume Party For Dogs - Patwin hosts another fun party every Halloween complete with dog costumes where pups can show off their outfits on October 31st from noon until around two o'clock in the afternoon since 2015 so far. If you are a vegetarian or vegan do not worry because Patwain offers some kid-friendly games too like pumpkin bowling just next door at Gateway Oaks Park which is right across that street leading up to Alamo Drive near Rt 12! There's also another candy-filled plastic eggs along with pet treats inside them hidden throughout Patwin for your furry friend to find during this annual Patwin event!
Patwin Park Rules
Patwin has a few rules they ask all visitors and their pups to follow at the park so be sure you have read them or heard about them before going on any of those trails mentioned earlier with your canine companion. Pets must remain leashed at all times while in Patawin as well as cleaned up immediately if necessary too. If you see another dog running loose without a leash near where you are walking make sure yours does not run off either since it could become lost very easily. Patwin also has a rule about not being allowed to bring in any stroller, bike, or skateboard inside without permission too so be sure you have left yours at home before going! Patwin will only allow leashed dogs on their trails and everyone must wear shoes while walking through the park with their pup since there are lots of thorns nearby along with some parts of the trail near Patawin's parking lot area by Alamo Drive!
Patwin Park Activities
There are plenty of other activities for both pups and parents alike when visiting Patwin aside from just that dog park mentioned earlier like all those great trails leading up towards where I-80 is located alongside Gateway Oaks Boulevard! Make sure you walk past Patwin's parking lot area to get on some of those trails leading up towards Patwin's picnic areas and dog park. Patwin also has a great playground for kids with lots of fun slides, swings, handicap accessible features too! Patwin is frequented by many people who use the trails surrounding it since they are all connected together but there are plenty of other things nearby like Gateway Oaks Park which offers more than just that pet-friendly pumpkin bowling game mentioned earlier near Rt 12! You can walk your pup around Gateway Oaks or drive inside the beautiful pine trees located in their huge parking lot area before getting out to stretch your legs at all those benches right next door along Alamo Drive where you will see signs saying "No Dogs Allowed" though Patwin is the exception to that rule!
