There are also two tennis courts within this space for all your recreation needs. • Lowell Park Fitness Court

Lowell Park Fitness Court is a unique gathering place in Oakland that provides the community with an outdoor fitness space to work out, play, and socialize. The Lowell' Park Fitness Court features a mix of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and rowers as well as strength training machines such as free weight benches and resistance trainers. Visitors can also enjoy composting stations for recycling organic waste from home or pick up nutrition bars at our snack bar station while getting fit. The Lowell’s Fitness Courtyard includes plantings chosen for their blooming cycle so they speak throughout all seasons while providing privacy to the Fitness Court users. Lowell’s Park is a great place to get healthy and enjoy being outside, all at once.

• Lowell Park Playground

Lowell Park Playground is one of Oakland’s favorite playgrounds and is a popular destination for families with children. Lowell Park has picnic facilities, public restrooms, and an amphitheater. Lowell Park also features large open grassy areas where visitors can play sports or fly kites. The park includes two barbeque pits that are free to use on a first-come-first-served basis. Lowell Park Playground is part of Lowell Community Center which serves as a cultural center for community programs such as dance classes, art classes, music lessons, and more. Lowell Park Playground was recently renovated to include new play equipment for children of all ages.

The Lowell Park in Oakland has two outdoor basketball courts. Players of all ages use these courts for their pickup games and to practice various tricks.
