Oakland Museum of California has two different admission prices. Adults are $15, children between the ages of six and seventeen are $12, seniors are $11, students with valid IDs get in for just ten dollars, and kids under the age of five get into Oakland Museum Of California for free!

History
When the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) first opened its doors fifty years ago in 1969, it made history as a progressive and innovative museum that celebrated both art and science. The three disciplines were brought together under one roof for this reason: OMCA has existed since then to explore all facets of California's culture through their collections which include iconic works from artists such as Roy Lichenstein or Andy Warhol alongside historical artifacts like Miwok pottery dating back thousands upon millennia before European settlers arrived on these shores; they also feature rare natural specimens such exhibitions about Native American life here pre-contact period along with photographs taken by Trail Mix Films’ own Pierre Gaston.
The OMCA has reopened its galleries after a transformation that touches almost every aspect of the 300,000 square-foot Museum and builds on what the founder's originally intended. This new approach focuses not just on improving integration but also on how visitors are engaged through innovative interpretive tools as well interactive features for greater engagement with exhibitions they’re viewing or programs being offered.
Collections
Oakland Museum is also home to many different exhibits which are rotated out several times throughout the year so there's always something new for visitors to take part in at this magnificent establishment! There are permanent collections as well but these change much less frequently than the temporary ones do - unless you're lucky enough to drop by during an exhibit swap or renovation then it might just still be up!
