For the last decade, Fairmont has worked hard to keep up with its growing student population. In 2008 they broke ground on a new 53000 sq ft building and construction began in 2008. The entire site was demolished leaving only playgrounds for play which were completed within months of finishing work outside in 2017.

The new Fairmont Charter School building was a first for Vacaville Unified. The building has 27 classrooms, an office space and kitchen on the first floor with multiple rooms to hold workshops or activities in them like libraries which are usually found inside their buildings' lobbies; they also have computer labs as well.
